Age Concern lunches at St Pauls

Senior citizens pictured after the Age Concern lunch in St Pauls Parish Church Hall last Friday afternoon.  Included in the picture is Day Care Workers - Deborah Moffat (left) and Hilary Smyth (right) and Driver - Tom Travers (left in second row).

Each Monday, Thursday and Friday, St Pauls Parish Church Hall is used as a Social Centre by Age Concern for senior citizens in the area.  A varied programme is co-ordinated by Margaret Boyce assisted by Day Care workers - Deborah Moffatt, Hilary Smyth and Erica Cromie.  The senior citizens are transported by Down Lisburn Trust buses and brought to the hall where tea/coffee and biscuits are served at 10.30am.  Following a variety of activities that include light exercises, crafts, board games, knitting and quizzes, they break for a two course lunch at 12.30pm and later at about 2.00pm for tea/coffee and biscuits.  After enjoying great fun, chat and fellowship, they leave for home at 3.30pm.
