1st Lisburn Boys� Brigade Annual Inspection and Display

1st Lisburn Boys� Brigade Annual Inspection and Display was held on St. Patrick�s Night - Friday 17th March 2006.  Following inspection, the Cabin Boys, Anchor Boys, Junior Section and Company Section paraded into a packed hall for �Fall In� and �Presentation of Awards.�  The Chaplain, the Rev. Brian Gibson, welcomed the parents, guests and leaders and gave a special welcome to the Inspecting Officer - Billy Braithwaite and his wife Marlene who presented the awards and explained that as parents/parents-in-law of Denise and Geoff Baird they have been involved with the BB for many years and have helped out at camps and many other events over the years.

A fun packed St. Patrick�s night programme included:  I�ll tell me Ma - Cabin Boys; McNamara�s Band - Anchor Boys; What�s the time Mr. Leprechaun - Cabin Boys; St. Patrick�s Day - Junior Section; �Saints� tell a story - Company Section; St. Paddy�s snake and ladders - Junior Section; and A beat to the myth - Company Section.

The prize winners included:  Robbie McConaghie - 1st & 2nd Year; Philip Hutchinson - 3rd & 4th Year, Rowan Davidson - Senior; Richard Harris - Squad; Paul Whittle, Alan Wall, Sije Lee and Adam Woods - Drill Down; Jonathan Davidson - Christian Faith; Lloyd Gillespie - Bandsman; Adrian Robinson - Norton Cup; Jake Stanley, Richard Harris, Gavin Nesbitt and Adrian Robinson - Duke of Edinburgh Awards.  Rowan Davidson, Richard Harris, Jamie McCutcheon, Jake Stanley and Chris Baird received their leaving certificates and the special award of the evening was when seven boys - Robert Armour, Gavin Nesbitt, Adrian Robinson, James Totten, Alan Wall, Chris Weir and Adam Woods received the President�s Badge from their proud fathers.

Cabin Boys get ready to cause mayhem at the 1st Lisburn Boys� Brigade Display on Friday 17th March 2006.  Dressed in St. Patrick�s green, they marched round the packed church hall, sending parents and guests diving for shelter as they squirted them with large water pistols.  Also included are leaders L to R:  William Brown, Laura Bittle, Abigail Bittle- Lieutenant-in-Charge and Emma Mulligan.
