 The
2006 Carols in the City will be held in the Lisburn Civic Centre
on Wednesday 13th December at 7.30pm. Presented by
the City Centre Ministers Fellowship, the concert, a traditional
and contemporary celebration of the message of Christmas, will
bring
together people from all sections of our community in a spirit
of oneness and festive joy. Choirs from St Joseph�s Primary
School, Meadowbridge Primary School, St Patrick�s High School
and a drama group from Seymour Street Methodist Church will take
part in the concert and Carol singing will be led by Garvey
Silver Band. The special guest will be the Rev Dr Brian
Fletcher, former president of the Methodist Church in Ireland.
Any profit left over after expenses are paid will be divided
between the �The Simon Community� and �Thompson House.� Tickets
priced �6.00 can be obtained from the Lagan Valley Island
