Aghalee Free Presbyterian ChurchA Children’s Day Service was held at Aghalee Free Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon 18th June.  The minister, the Rev Cairin Salt, led the service and Sharon Edwards and Laura Wilkinson on piano led the praise.  Children taking part in Bible readings, recitals and singing were: Matthew, Gemma & Jonathan Thompson, Judith & Suzanna Crowe, Samuel & Luke Davison, Andrew, Nathan & Chloe Hull, Hannah Douglas, Rachel Park, Hannah, Beth, Philip & Rachel Logan, Philip & Timothy Patterson, Dynika Camlin, Serena Gorman, Rebecca Stringer, Jordan, Cameron, Nicholas & Christopher Salt, Timothy, Aaron & Samuel Martin, Laura & Grace Wilkinson, Emma Gawley, Emma & Daniel Barclay and Alexander Leitch.

In his address, guest speaker Mark Telford presented a clear Gospel message to the children.  He chose as his text – “O taste and see that the Lord is Good” and using a variety of chocolate bars he explained that God made the Galaxy, Mars, Milky Way and animals (Lion bar).  We serve a great God who made babies (Jelly Babies) but our hearts are stained with sin (Black Jacks).  He asked the children to be Smarties and trust the Lord Jesus Christ because He can wash your black heart white (Milky Bar).  He went on to say that we are Drifters through life and explaining that life is no Picnic, he spoke of the great Bounty of God’s love.
