A weekend of Harvest Thanksgiving services was held in Lisburn Free Presbyterian Church last Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  The minister, the Rev Thomas Martin led the Saturday evening service and the speaker was the Rev William McCrea.  Maureen Waddell on organ and Linda Douglas on piano led the singing of well-known harvest hymns that included Great is thy Faithfulness and Bringing in the sheaves.  The Rev William McCrea sang three solos one of which was Amazing Grace.  In a challenging address Mr McCrea elaborated on the theme of Amazing Grace and spoke about how God loves the sinner and explained that even though there was nothing good in him to merit Gods love He reached out in Grace.

The speaker at the morning Lords Day service was the Rev David Linden from Portglenone.  The Rev Ian Harris from Annalong was the speaker at the evening service and the singer was Mrs Alison Maternaghan.  A Harvest Supper followed the service.  The weekend of harvest services concluded on Monday evening when the guest speaker was the Rev Trevor Baxter from Ballynahinch and the singer was Mrs Patricia Hamilton.
