Special services and events planned to celebrate the 175th Anniversary of
Magheragall Parish Church

The Rector, the Rev Nicholas Dark and the Select Vestry have arranged a series of special services and fun events during the next fortnight to celebrate the 175th Anniversary of Magheragall Parish Church. These include:

Evening service of celebration with the Bishop of Connor Preaching.

Ascension Day, Thursday 25th May

The Bishop of Connor will preach at an Evening Service of Celebration on Thursday 25th May at 7.00 p.m. It is hoped the service will conclude with a balloon launch. Supper will be served and an invitation is extended to all neighbouring churches, parishes of the Rural Deanery, local political representatives and representatives from local schools in this area.

Sponsored abseil down the church tower

Saturday 3rd June at 10.00

There will be a sponsored abseil down the church tower on Saturday 3rd June commencing at 10.00. Forty-five people will take part in the event including a nine-year old boy, a pensioner, a bride to be who is getting married on the 17th June 2006 and a groom getting married in October 2006 in the church. Organised by Church Lads & Church Girls Brigade, proceeds from the event will be donated to Parish Funds and CL&CGB.

Birthday Services & Parish Party Lunch

Pentecost, Sunday 4th June

A Birthday Service for the church will be held on Sunday 4th June at 11.30 a.m. followed by a Parish Party Lunch in the Church Hall and a balloon launch.  There will also be an evening Praise and Worship Service at 7.00 pm.

Day Out to Rathlin Island

Sunday 11th June

The Rambling Club have arranged a �Church Day Out� to Rathlin Island on Sunday 11th June including Morning Service in St Thomas, Rathlin.
