Annahilt Rector to be installed as Canon

Rev. Canon Robert Howard

Annahilt Rector, the Rev. Robert Howard will become a Canon at a Service of Installation in Dromore Cathedral on Friday 24^th March 2006 at 8.00pm.  He is to be installed as Prebendary of Dromara on the Chapter of Dromore Cathedral by the Dean, the Very Rev. Stephen Lowry.

 Mr. Howard was instituted as Rector of Annahilt and Magherahamlet (Diocese of Dromore) on 4^th February 1994.  He was Ordained Deacon - Down Cathedral on 29^th June 1984 and was Curate Assistant of Donaghcloney & Waringstown (Diocese of Dromore) from 1984 to 1988 and was Ordained Priest  - Holy Trinity Church, Waringstown on 30^th June 1985.  From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Howard was Rector of Saint Ninian�s, Belfast (Diocese of Connor). 

 The congregations of the Church of the Ascension, Annahilt and Magherahamlet Parish Church and Mr. Howard�s friends and family are delighted at news of this appointment for someone who has faithfully served Christ for over 22 years.
