This years annual Garden Party at Kilwarlin Moravian Church will
be held on Saturday 9th June starting at 2.30pm. Everyone will
be most welcome to this event, which will provide a great fun
day out and the opportunity to come and see this beautiful old
church. The church, built in 1835 on the site of the original
church built in 1755, is set in the rural area of Kilwarlin
(Upper), near Hillsborough.
Cream Teas and Strawberry and Cream will be served either in the
church hall or (weather permitting) at tables in the beautiful
grounds of this historic church. There will be a variety of
cakes, plants, crafts and bookstalls and tomboila.
The opener will be Mrs K. Mawhinney and the chair is Mr. Alan
Holdsworth (father of the minister, the Rev Paul Holdsworth).
Entrance is £1 for adults and 50p for children.
To find the church, take the Hillsborough to Dromore dual
carriageway and turn right into the Moira Road. After passing
Hillsborough Elim Church and Lisanian Nursing Home, turn into
the Kilwarlin Road - the Moravian Church is about ' mile up this
narrow country road, on the left hand side.
