The Rev Colin Gracie is the new minister of Dromore and Priesthill Methodist Churches. He succeeds the Rev Robert Wallace who retired from active work and now lives in Lisburn. A thanksgiving service for Mr Wallace was held in Priesthill Methodist Church on Sunday evening 22nd June.

Born in Scotland in 1969, Mr Gracie moved to Ireland in 1981 where he attended secondary school in Cork. After graduating from University College Cork and Durham he worked as a field archaeologist in Southern Ireland.

In 2003 he was ordained at the Methodist Conference in Ballymena and prior to his Lisburn appointment, he was minister of Birr, Athlone and Tullamore Methodist Church.

Married to Anita, they have two young children Eleanor (5) and Alex (3). Dublin woman Anita is a teacher and is currently studying for a doctorate in education.

Mr Gracie commenced his ministry at Dromore and Priesthill on Sunday 13th July.
