The Rev Desi Maxwell, Senior Teaching Fellow at Belfast Bible College will be the speaker at a teaching weekend in Christ Church Parish next weekend (Friday 17th and Sunday 19th October) when he will speak on the theme of prayer using the topic �Back to school with Israel - Xploring God�s kingdergarten for timeless truths�.

The session on Friday evening (17th October) will be held in the Church Hall at 7.30 pm; and Desi will present his second talk in the church on Sunday morning (19th October) at 11.30am. The Friday evening session will commence with refreshments served from 7.15pm; there is no cost for the seminar but there will be an opportunity for a thanks offering.

Desi Maxwell is a very gifted speaker. Now living in Lisburn, he was born and raised in Ballymena. His education took him through Ballymena Academy, on to the University of Ulster, then Westminster and Princeton Theological seminaries in the USA. After seven years of pastoral ministry, three in Canada and four in Belfast, he has been senior teaching fellow at Belfast Bible College for the past two decades.
