The Mayor, Councillor James Tinsley and his wife, the Mayoress, Mrs Margaret Tinsley, officially launched the new 'Caf Vic-Ryn @ Home' department on Saturday 3rd May.

Caf Vic-Ryn was born in August 2004 and has evidently gone from strength to strength. Now seating over 100 people, it serves food of supreme quality. If it is morning coffee you are after, then the speciality beverages and mouth-watering scones can most definitely satisfy your desire. If meeting a friend for lunch, or are just wanting to chill out, then as the slogan suggests, 'time becomes irrelevant'. Lunch time favourites include lasagne, chicken & broccoli bake, peppered chicken wrapped in bacon, cod mornay, savoury mince pie, stuffed chicken with bacon and pan gravy, sweet chilli potatoes with stir fried vegetables (to name but a few) and to finish off, a scrumptious desert or traybake to satisfy a sweet tooth. The good news is that the newly opened 'Caf Vic-Ryn @ Home' will allow the delicious home made dishes, to make their way to your kitchen table! Now famous for their deserts, such as Indulgent chocolate fudge cake, deep brambly apple pie, chocolate hazelnut vecherin and the unforgettable 'pink pavlova', you can now make a 'dishonest woman of yourself' by allowing Caf Vic-Ryn @ Home to take the stress and organisation out of christenings, birthday parties, anniversaries or even just family dinner. You can now order a vast amount of speciality dishes to do just that. Remember ' 'they prepare it, you serve it!'

The proprietor of Caf Vic-Ryn, Mrs Jacqueline Evans had this to say, 'with many people now working full time, yet still wanting to entertain and have dinner parties, Caf Vic-Ryn @ home is able to take all the pressure away from you. Our customers can enjoy great food in their own home while still being able to have the confidence that only fresh, Northern Ireland produce is being used. Staff will be happy to spend time helping you to arrange that special party you have in mind.'

Elizabeth Murphy is Head of the Savouries Department and Nell Brown is Head of the Sweet Department. Within the House of Vic-Ryn a conference room, which is managed by Florence Smyth, is available for both private and business meetings and Caf Vic-Ryn can provide the catering arrangements for these functions. So why not contact Florence on (028) 9262 2649 or call in and collect your free colour brochure and order form. Located on the 1st floor of the House of Vic-Ryn, Moira Road, Lisburn, accessible via the interior stairs or lift.
