Local Gospel band 'Live Issue'
to play in support of St Paul's projects

Local Gospel band 'Live Issue', who will play at St Paul's Church next Saturday evening. L to R: Colin Elliott and Roy Dreaning (back) and Sam Armstrong and Sam Purdy (front).The Rector of St Paul's, the Rev James Carson has launched plans for a series of events during 2008 to 2010 designed to continue spiritual renewal in St Paul's parish the theme 'Forward together in Faith and Mission 2008-2010 at home and abroad'. There are three parts to this firstly, overseas mission, that is developing a link with Kajiado Diocese in Kenya were C.M.S. mission partner Ronnie Briggs and his wife Maggie work. This is being thought about now as Ronnie returns to Kenya in May. Secondly mission at home with a planned mission in the parish in 2010. Thirdly, as part of this there is plans to develop faith and fellowship within St Paul's parish through a further series of local events and weekends away.

In seeking to support their Kenya project practically the parish has organised a concert in St Paul's Church Lisburn this Saturday 18th October at 7.30pm with Live Issue supported by St Paul's praise group. The rector said that this would be a wonderful evening when folk will have an opportunity to praise and worship God but also for folk to support the work of God aboard.
