Ballycairn Presbyterian Women celebrated their 100th anniversary of mission support at a special service in Ballycairn Presbyterian Church on Sunday 5th April. Mrs Heather McCracken, Deaconess of Alexandra, led the service and gave the address; and Ballycairn PW members Mrs Lillian Doherty and Mrs Jean Clarke led the prayers and Mrs Olive Moore read the Scripture lesson. The choir led the praise that included, ‘Great is Thy faithfullness’, ‘My hope is built on nothing less’ and ‘Jesus shall reign where’er the sun’. Many of the congregation joined with the ladies for this special occasion. Refreshments were served after the service when they cut the anniversary cake, followed by a group photo. Elizabeth Walker, Acting Leader concludes, “Our thanks go to all our faithful supporters in this work over the past 100 years, without them we could not do this work - many thanks for your help.”
