The new Lisburn City Elim Church Complex was launched and official opened
on Saturday 5th September. The special guests included Lisburn Mayor
Councillor Allan Ewart, Lagan Valley MP, Jeffrey Donaldson MLA, Pastor John
Glass and Pastor Eric McComb.
Following the dedication by Pastor Eric McComb, Mrs Doreen Christie
officially opened the complex. Pastor McComb led the service of
thanksgiving. Pastor Norman Christie welcomed the congregation, visitors and
special guests; Lagan Valley MP, Jeffrey Donaldson MLA led the opening
prayer; the Mayor, Councillor Allan Ewart, read the Scripture lesson; and
Pastor John Glass gave the address. Stephen McLoughlin and the Lisburn Elim
Church Worship team led the thanksgiving praise. The congregational hymns
were ‘To God be the glory’ and ‘How great Thou art’; the soloist was Clara
Costley.
Refreshments were served afterwards.
The thanksgiving celebrations continued on Saturday evening with a Praise
Service.
