A Gospel Praise Night featuring The Amen Praise Band' was held in Mount Zion Community Church, Lisburn last Friday.

Organised by Irvine McCabe, committee member of the Lisburn Prospects Group, the event raised nearly £400 in support of Prospects, a Christian voluntary organisation which values and supports people with learning disabilities so that they can live their lives to the full. The special guests were Lisburn Deputy Mayor Alderman William Leathem and his wife Kathleen; Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson and Derek Polley, Chairman of Prospects Northern Ireland Regional Development Team.

In welcoming all who attended, Irvine McCabe thanked the band members and all who helped organise the event.

He then went on to give a brief overview of Lisburn Prospects Group, one of 12 in Northern Ireland. The Lisburn group meets every Monday evening in Trinity Methodist Church for Bible study, praise and prayer followed by supper and a good chat.
