THE Band, Bugles, Pipes and Drums of the Royal Irish Regiment and supporting soloist Lynn McAllister presented a special evening to raise funds for leading local charity Action Cancer and SSAFA Forces Help in Lisburn last week.

Norma Bell, Chairperson of the Lisburn Action Cancer Group, said: "I was delighted when the Royal Irish Regiment and Lynn agreed to do this Extravaganza of Music in aid of Action Cancer and SSAFA Forces Help. Over 400 guests enjoyed a fabulous musical evening last Thursday evening at the Island Theatre.

"I would like to thank The Royal Irish Regiment, the Musical Director and Lynn McAllister for their excellent contribution and support.

"All our guests who came and supported the evening and finally, a very big thank you to the members of the Lisburn Action Cancer Group and the staff at SSAFA Forces Help who supported this fundraising event."
