THE family and work colleagues of a local man who sadly passed away last year have raised a staggering sum for charity.

Following the passing of Mr. Clem Stewart, his family and colleagues at Lagan Valley Steels, where he worked for many years, decided to raise money for a cancer charity by taking part in the Lisburn Fun Run earlier this year.

The massive amount of 5010 was raised and a cheque was recently presented to Friends of the Cancer Centre.
