A LISBURN woman who only went into business
two and a half years ago, has been named the Wedding Stationery
Retailer of the Year for Northern Ireland.
Marian Doncaster's firm 'Wedding
Inspirations', located on Bridge Street, was selected by Gold
Link Stationery for the coveted title because of the excellent
customer service and satisfaction.
A delighted Marian, 50, said; "I am delighted to
have received this award and look forward to maintaining the
excellent service already being provided." Marian decided to
take a career break and set up her own business doing something
she really enjoyed.
She said: "The purpose of the business is to
provide customers with a flexible approach to choosing their
wedding stationery. The main focus is on the customer's specific
requirements. While the shop stocks ready-made invitation cards,
many brides prefer to have the cards individually designed.
"I have always been interested in craft
making and make teddies, dolls' houses, patchworking, knitting,
sewing and of course card making."
"During the last two years it has been good
to see the business grow and to play a small part in helping the
bride and groom to enjoy a perfect wedding day," she added.
Geraint Evans, Sales Manager at Gold Link
Stationery commented on Marian's success: "It is quite a big
thing to be given this award and Marian has done exceptionally
well to achieve this after only two and a half years of
trading."
