Lisburn hosts All Ireland Pipe Band Championships

The All Ireland Pipe Band Championships were held in Lisburn Leisure Park, just outside the city centre, on Saturday 4th July. Performances by bands from Northern Ireland and Eire were witnessed by the large ever enthusiastic Northern Irish crowd. Field Marshal Montgomery from Northern Ireland won the Grade 1 event pushing St Laurence O’Toole from Dublin into 2nd place followed by Northern Ireland’s Cullybackey and Ballycoan in third and fourth places.
