 LISBURN couple Ray and Noreen Mitchell celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Friday March 27.

They have lived in or around Lisburn for all of their married life. To celebrate 50 years of marriage a family get together and meal was organised at the Half Way House near Banbridge.

The happy couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family at the Halfway House.

Grahame and Norah Bates celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary at the weekend. The couple were married in Glossop, Derbyshire in 1959 and moved to Lisburn to be closer to Norah's father, Egerton Stafford, who had come over to open the Dunmurry branch of RFD. Norah spent her working life here as cook supervisor at St Aloysius PS whilst Grahame started out at Bridgeport before moving to a management position at Burgear Hydraulics. The happy couple recently celebrated the occasion with a family party in the Lake District
