Local celebs Paul Clark, Olivia Nash and May McFetridge encourage walkers to put their best foot forward and come out for the hospice walks on Saturday March 28 to Saturday April 4.LOCAL celebs Paul Clark, May McFetridge and Olivia Nash are calling on local people to join them for the Lagan Tow Path walk on Saturday March 28 in aid of the NI Hospice.

It will be starting at Lagan Valley Island at 10.00am and local organisers are expecting 400+ people to take part in the walk which is part of the Hospice's Big Walk Week.

There will be 12 different walks throughout Northern Ireland with a shorter route from Cutter's Wharf in Belfast is also available.

Paul Clark, President of NI Hospice, said: "Last year we helped more people than ever before, with over 3,200 adults, children and young people receiving hospice care. With an increasing demand for our services, we want to do even more this year but we can't do it without the support of local people for events like the Big Walk Week. Last year this event raised the tremendous sum of £180,000. This is a significant contribution to your overall running costs and really does help." With other walks taking place at various venues through Big Walk Week which runs from Saturday March 28 to Saturday April 4, and routes varying 2-10 miles there's bound to be something to suit you, no matter what your fitness level.

"So c'mon, Get your boots on and join the other 3,000 hospice walkers all raising money for this very worthwhile local charity," says Olivia.
