WALLACE High School Upper Sixth students started their study leave in style with a special leaving day party.

FoLowing speeches from their Form staff Pauline Flavelle and Julia McIvor, the pupils were entertained with a dvd of clips of their Charity show 'Christmas Pie, which raised £1700 for Childline/NSPCC.

The teenagers then enjoyed coffee with their subject teachers and were wished well in their forthcoming A Level examinations by Principal of Wallace, Mrs Anne McBride.

They then moved out into the school grounds where they enjoyed a BBQ and games.

Chris Williams from the Upper Sixth Committee commented: "Our leaving day was bittersweet as we've all thoroughly enjoyed our time in Wallace and will undoubtedly miss school.

"However we're looking forward to the challenges which lie ahead in the next stage of our lives and I hope we will keep in touch with each other and the Wallace community."
