Success for locals at dog show

LISBURN and District Canine Society held the Northern Ireland Working & Pastoral Pup and Dog of the year 2008, at the Balmoral Hotel, on Saturday January 17. This was attended by the top winning dogs throughout the year.

The Best Pup of 2008 went to Alan Matthew from Moira, with his Corgi 'Ryslip Molly Malone of Craigycor' and runner up went to Beverley Gormley of Banbridge with her Dobermann 'Jortel Boddiegard'.

The Best Dog of 2008 went to W & A Dobbin from Cloughmills with their Newfoundland 'GB. & IR.CH Fairweathers's Knockout with Brooklynbear', and runner up went to Joan Duffus of Dollingstown with her Samoyed INT/GB & IR.CH Cabakas FighterMan of Yacker.
