Shevlin, 21, from Lisburn recently spent time at the Star
seeing what life is like as a journalist. She graduated from
Queen's University with a First Class Honours Degree in

What do you like doing on your day off?
I like to lie-in then read a book and do some writing.
If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be,
where and why?
My favourite meal is Christmas Day dinner at home with all
the people I care about because it makes me happy.
What has been your proudest moment?
My proudest moment was when I got my certificate for
graduating with a First Class Honours degree - because it
was a challenge.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Going into the sea in Gran Canaria. I have an irrational
phobia of sea creatures.
How would you describe your taste in clothes? What's the
most you ever spent on a single item?
My taste in clothes is quite laid back. I'm a jeans and tee
shirt kind of girl. The most I've ever spent was around �60
on shoes. I don't wear labels.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
If I won a million pounds I would get married, buy a house
for myself and another for my family. I would pay off my
student loan and take it easy for a while.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Clinging to a lilo in Gran Canaria whilst hyperventilating.
What music do you like?
I like a wide range - it depends on my mood.
What sports person do you most admire?
I don't follow sport.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream
My best ever holiday was in Nice, France. My Fianc�, Ian
took me for my 21st birthday. Then he proposed in a
beautifully lit park by the beach.
My dream holiday will be my honeymoon where ever it is.
What is your greatest ambition?
To become a published author.
