where she spent a month working for Habitat for Humanity.

What do you like doing on your day off?
Surfing, reading and chilling with friends.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be,
where and why?
At 'La Coruna' a restaurant in Galicia, in the north west of
Spain. The seafood is delicious. I spent a lot of time there
when I was studying in Spain.

What has been your proudest moment?
There are several - getting a first in my degree, winning
the Spanish Embassy prize and on the last day of my trip to
Ethiopia when the keys to the houses we built were handed
over to the new householders.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
Sitting in an internet caf� in Amsterdam waiting to see my
degree classification. I had no access to the internet in
Ethiopia so I had to wait until I stopped off in Amsterdam
on the way home.

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
I am passionate about what I wear but my style changes
regularly. I like to be comfortable during the day and then
dress up for an evening out.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Go on a trip around the world with my mum and give money to
the people in the town in Ethiopia where I spent the month
of June.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I was surfing in Portugal a couple of weeks ago and had to
be rescued when the leash broke on my board. It was so
embarrassing being rescued in front of the professional
surfers who were watching and some even recording it.

What music do you like?
I like all music but I would say 'house' music would be my
favourite.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream
holiday be?
When I was studying in Spain I spent a month with friends
travelling around the major cities in Spain and Portugal. It
was unbelievable. I would like to spend a year travelling
the world.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To complete the Camio de Santiag pilgrimage.

If you could spend a day with celebrity whom would you
choose?
Nobel peace prize recipient Rigoberta Menchu. I spent a lot
of time writing about her for my dissertation so would be
lovely to see in person what she is like.

What three things would you want with you if you were
stranded on a desert island?
Moisturiser, water and laptop with wireless internet
connection.
