PAUL Murphy singer/songwriter from Upper BallinderryPAUL Murphy, 26, from Upper Ballinderry is a singer/songwriter and will be performing this Saturday November 25 with the Songwriters Circle in the Studio Theatre at the Lagan Valley Island Arts Centre.

What do you like doing on your day off?
I work on my music, play the guitar, go for walks and catch up on things I haven't had a chance to do when I've been at work.

If you were to choose your favourite meal what would it be, where and why?
The pizza at Villa Italia in Belfast is hard to beat. My favourite is ham and pineapple.

What has been your proudest moment?
Being part of the Songwriters Circle. It is a pleasure to perform with the group.

What was the most frightening moment of your life?
The first time I performed with the Songwriters Circle was very daunting as I hadn't had much experience playing in front of a big audience.

How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Smart casual - I like wearing jeans and a smart shirt.

What would you do if you won a million pounds?
I would buy a holiday villa in Spain, a nice property over here. a flash car and designer clothes.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I was playing the guitar in front of a small audience and one of the strings broke. I had to go off stage to get a new string.

What music do you like?
I like rock and indie music. Coldplay, Oasis, U2 are my favourite bands and David Gray is my favourite solo artist.

What musician do you most admire?
Bono from U2.

Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
This year I went to Cyprus for my friend's wedding. It was fantastic. I stayed there for two weeks and it was lovely doing something a bit different and going somewhere I hadn't been before. I would love to go on a five star holiday on a tropical island and be pampered.

What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To be a successful singer/songwriter.

If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
Peter Kay.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you want with you?
Guitar, a friend and a gameboy.
