Gale, l6, is a student at Laurelhill Community College. She
would like to be a fashion journalist and recently spent her
work experience at the Star.
What do you like doing on your day
Half of my day would be wasted in bed - it's my
favourite place in the world. I do enjoy shopping,
especially with my mum, or just relaxing.
If you were to choose your favourite
meal what would it be, where and why?
Penne Pasta at Cafe Milanos. Pasta is my favourite food
and the restaurant is just gorgeous. I would love the lights
they have on the ceiling for my bedroom.
What has been your proudest moment?
Winning a dance competition at the Queen's Golden
What was the most frightening moment
of your life?
It is always before exams. I hope I don't have a heart
attack before my GCSE's.
How would you describe your taste in
clothes? What's the most you ever spent on a single item?
I would say I am individual but in style. I don't really
care what people think of my clothes. My favourite shop is
What would you do if you won a million
Give my parents half of it as they have spent so much on
me through the years. I'd give some money to charity and
then I would probably just go a shopping spree.
What was your most embarrassing
During the summer I went along to an audition for a TV
advert with a group of friends. I was chosen to audition for
a part as a chav. We weren't supposed to speak but I wasn't
aware of this. When the director said 'action' I yelled
'What are you looking at?' in a very chav accent - the whole
room erupted with laughter and my face was as pink as a
Barbie car. I never did get the part.
What music do you like?
lndie such as Goo Goo Dolls. I'm going to see Christina
Aguilera later this month.
What sports person do you most admire?
Frank Lampard - he's good looking and plays for the best
team - Chelsea.
Describe your best ever holiday. What
would your dream holiday be?
I love Turkey. Anywhere with sun and a pool and lots of
shops. Turkey provides all of that. My dream holiday would
be going to New York or Paris with my Mum.
What is your greatest remaining
Since primary five I've always wanted to be a journalist
and working in the Star has been a great experience.
If you could spend a day with a
celebrity whom would you choose?
Either Christina Aguilera or Sharon Osbourne.
If you were stranded on a desert
island what three things would you want with you?
Mobile. mum and sun lotion.
