Kate McCullough
KATE
McCullough, 24, from Lisburn completed a degree in Fine and Applied Art
at the University of Ulster last June. Since then she has worked in
Regional Cultural Centre in Donegal and at the moment she is a
co-director at Catalyst Arts Gallery in Belfast which is a voluntary run
arts organization. She has also been assisting Susan MacWilliam who was
chosen by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to represent Northern
Ireland in the Venice Biennale 2009. The Venice Biennale has been
running for over a century and is one of the most prestigious arts
events in the world.
What do you like doing on your day off?
Catching up on some sleep, reading a book and some more
sleeping.
If you were to choose your favourite meal
what would it be, where and why?
Spaghetti Bolognese - my mum is the best cook.
What has been your proudest moment?
Graduating from University.
What was the most frightening moment of your
life?
Arriving into Bangkok and not having clue were to go.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
Anything goes.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Treat the family to a great holiday, put my feet up for a while
and then get back to work.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Realising I talk very loud on trains.
What music do you like ?
Queen, Erasure, Chicks on Speed....I could go on.
What sports person do you most admire?
Rodger Federer - his good looks and talent are a great
combination.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would
your dream holiday be?
My favourite holiday is always Donegal on the beach but I would
love to travel around South America.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To own my own camper van.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity
whom would you choose?
Liv Tyler.
If you were stranded on a desert island what
three things would you want with you?
Tooth brush, water and a solar powered communications system.
