Brief history as recorded in a book ‘Lisburn’s Rich Church Heritage’ by John Kelly

Around the year 1929 a Sunday School was commenced in a garage erected in Milfort Avenue, with an occasional Gospel Meeting, by the Assembly meeting in the Gospel Hall in Derriaghy. In 1937 the present Gospel Hall was erected on the Glenburn Road, Dunmurry, where the Sunday School continues and a Gospel Meeting is held each Lord’s Day evening. The Assembly in Dunmurry was formed on Lord’s Day the 4th March 1956.
