A GROUP of youth workers from various churches have come together to create and provide opportunities for young people from Lisburn to become engaged and participate in the local community.

Animate 12 will host an event at at the Grove Community Centre from April 1113 and will include various workshops beginning at 1.30pm on April 11. Activities include a graffiti wall, car workshop, dance sessions and self defence classes. During this time young people will be able to take part in helping with gardening for local residents as well as litter picking around the surrounding community.

The final day will allow opportunities for the local community to become engaged with Animate through coffee mornings, activities for younger kids e.g. bouncy castle and face painting. A-12 team will hold a BBQ for the community and there will also be a football tournament held in the community.
