The Rector, the Rev Donna Quigley and compere Andy Sproule (left) pictured with some of the artists who presented a great mix of gospel and popular music at a ‘Spring Musical’ evening in Derryvolgie Parish church last Friday night (18th April).
The Derryvolgie Singers are joined on stage by Alan Murphy (Annahilt) on steel guitar and Bangor singer/musician Des McVeigh. They are pictured singing a few country songs with keyboard player Graham Murphy (second from right) turning his musical talents to the 5-string banjo.
Karen McIvor and James Hamilton pictured performing a few John Denver songs.
Lisburn man David Major entertains the audience with some great songs, stories and jokes.
Alan Murphy (Annahilt) on steel guitar pictured accompanying Bangor singer and musician Des McVeigh as he sings his Christian version of the popular song Fields of Athenry.
Special guest 14-year-old Julia Clarke, from Belfast, was accompanied by her music teacher Catherine Hunter.
