LAURA Hamill, 19, from Lisburn is an English and Journalism student at De Montfort University, Leicester and currently writes for a music website. She recently spent a couple of weeks at the Star on work experience.
What do you like doing on your day off?
Spending time with family and friends, nothing too fancy.
If you were to . choose your favourite meal what would it be, where
Anything Italian, anywhere in Italy.
What has been your proudest moment?
Probably getting into university, especially as I had to move away and do everything for myself. Getting through first year, without Sky Sports for the first few months is a big thing to me.
What was the most frightening moment of your life?
I nearly drowned in Florida as a child, but in hindsight I just find it funny.
How would you describe your taste in clothes?
I have an extensive collection of band t-shirts.
What would you do if you won a million pounds?
Go travelling, buy a season ticket at Old Trafford and buy my parents a nice house.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I have far too many.
What music do you like?
More or less anything that isn't heavy metal, classical or jazz.
What sports person do you most admire?
David Beckham - I'm a big fan of his tattoos and he played for United.
Describe your best ever holiday. What would your dream holiday be?
Two years ago I went to Thailand with my best friend, Kerri. I visited a temple in Bangkok during a religious holiday, which was incredible. I'm dying to visit Jamaica, and travelling round Italy is on my bucket list.
What is your greatest remaining ambition?
To make it as a journalist. I would love to move to America for work or join the Sky Sports News team. Aside from that, getting married and having babies.
If you could spend a day with a celebrity whom would you choose?
I would love to spend a day with Jay-Z, he's had an interesting life thus far so he'd have some good stories to share. Hopefully he'll write a song about this day we'll spend together.
If you were stranded on a desert island what three things would you
want with you?
My iPod, a book to read, and someone interesting to talk to.
