Former Lisburn minister's daughter graduates in Scotland

Rev Ian and Maureen McIlroy

Lynsey Elizabeth McIlroy, daughter of the Rev Ian and Maureen McIlroy (nee Gillespie) formerly of Hillsborough Old Road, Lisburn, has gained the Degree of Bachelor of Arts with Honours, in Fine Art from Dundee University.

Lynsey is a former pupil of Crail Primary School (Fife), Sandhead Primary School (Dumfries and Galloway) and Douglas Ewart High School, (Dumfries and Galloway).

Lynsey's father and mother are former members of Railway Street Presbyterian Church. Ian commenced his studies for the ministry in Union College, Belfast, as a student under the care of the Presbytery of Dromore and in January 1992, he was ordained by the Presbytery of Wigtown and Stranraer to the parishes of Kirkmadian and Stoneykirk in St Medan's Parish Church Drummore, Scotland. In November 2006 he became Parish Minister of the Church of Scotland team ministry in the linked Parishes of Abernyte, Inchture, Kinnaird and Longforgan in the Presbytery of Dundee.
