Painting of Railway Street Presbyterian Church presented

Local artist Jason Kelly presents his painting of Railway Street Presbyterian Church to the Rev Brian Gibson and Mr Gordon Lindsay

Local artist Jason Kelly presents his painting of Railway Street Presbyterian Church to the Rev Brian Gibson and Mr Gordon Lindsay - Clerk of Session, following morning worship on Sunday 16th September.  The painting was commissioned to celebrate 150 years of worship in this historic church since the formation of the first congregation.  Jason's painting is now being reproduced on multi-purpose gift/greeting cards which will be on sale locally from next week.  Proceeds will help with the publication of a book currently being written entitled '150 year history of Railway Street Presbyterian Church'.  The book is being compiled by John Kelly with the assistance and sponsorship of James Victor Hamilton, grandson of the late Very Rev Dr Robert Wilson Hamilton, who was the third minister of Railway Street between 1885-1935 and served as Moderator of the General Assembly in 1924-1925.
