Local churches unite for Women's World Day of Prayer

Women's World Day of Prayer is a global, ecumenical movement of informed prayer and prayerful action, organised and led by Christian women who call the faithful together on the first Friday in March each year to observe a common day of prayer. The theme for this year's service is 'God's wisdom provides new understanding' and the service of prayers, readings and hymns has been prepared by Christian women from Guyana.

Women from eleven churches in the Maze area will hold their service in Hillsborough Presbyterian Church tonight (Friday 7th March) at 8.00pm. Co-ordinated this year by Mrs Hilary Jess, the service will be led by the Rev Kiran Young Wimberly, Assistant Minister at Hillsborough Presbyterian.
