The Rev George McEwen, minister of Bailiesmills
Reformed Presbyterian Church retired last September.
Mr McEwen, who was installed in the congregation on 19th
January 1990, preached his farewell sermon at Bailiesmills on Sunday 14th
September. A reception in
Rockmount Golf Club, Carryduff on Friday 19th September
provided the opportunity for the congregation to say farewell to their
minister of 18 years, his wife Heather, son Timothy and daughter Andrea.
A few days before his retirement, George and Heather were proud and privileged to see their son Timothy follow in his father’s footsteps as he was ordained to the Christian ministry and installed as minister of Ballenon (Poyntzpass) and Ballylane (Markethill) Reformed Presbyterian Churches on Friday 5th September.
The Rev Professor Robert McCollum, minister of Lisburn Reformed Presbyterian Church is in charge of the vacancy at Bailiesmills.
