ARRANGEMENTS for the official launch of Damask Community Outreach are at the final stages for the event which will take place on Saturday September 24. The concept has been the brainchild of Seymour Street Methodist Church and is coming to fruition following a period of consultation with the City Council, local agencies, the Hilden Community Association and a survey of the East Lisburn area to establish community needs. Motivated by the objective to offer and facilitate activities in partnership with appropriate groups the Outreach Chairman Rev Brian Anderson said he has been impressed by the willingness of so many local organisations to share in the provision of a wide range of services and activities. On September 24 various groups will have stalls in Seymour Street Methodist Church Halls from loam to 1pm offering advice and details of services that will be available and Health Minister Edwin Poots will perform the Official Launch at 11.30am.
