LISBURN Christian Workers' Union Hall was packed to capacity on Saturday evening 3rd September for a 'Special Praise & Thanksgiving Service' marking the first of the new season of gospel meetings.

Joseph Lockhart, the CWU Secretary, opened the meeting by welcoming all who attended and all taking part. The guest speaker was Pastor George Sands (Lisburn Pentecostal Fellowship, Hulls Hill) and the praise was led by Mavis Ross who presided at the piano.

Taking part in the service were, Sons of Zion Praise Group, Hazel Quinn and the McBride Sisters (Ruth and Salome).

In a challenging address, Pastor Sands spoke of the 'Great Salvation' explaining that it is great because of — the person from where it comes; the tremendous price that was paid; the privilege it affords us; and the penalty from which it delivers us.
