A GROUP from 1st Loughaghery Boys Brigade, under the leadership of Brian Andrews, is getting ready to set off on their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Expedition to the French Alps.

Their route will include part of the Tour Du Mount Blanc route and will cover approximately 65 Kilometres with a total ascent of almost 20,000 feet walking from France to Italy.

The trip has been organised in conjunction with BB Northern Ireland and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the award scheme.
