MOIRA Cancer Research Committee celebrated 20 years of fundraising with a fun walk last week in Moira Demesne

Mayor of Lisburn Councillor Trevor Lunn started the walk and was joined by representatives from local businesses, youth groups, schools, sporting clubs, friends and families to take part and enjoy a stroll around the Demesne and support the work of Cancer Research.

To date Moira Committee has raised over 235,000 since its formation in 1987 and this has only been possible with the loyal support of Moira, Magheralin, Aghalee and Maghaberry communities.

New members are always welcome to the group's monthly meetings, which are hosted by the Ivory Restaurant at 7 30pm on the first Tuesday of the month, except in July and August.
