Dromore and District Male Voice Choir
THERE will be celebrations next weekend when
the Dromore and District Male Voice Choir holds its 50th annual
concert in the town's High School on Friday March 30 at 8.00pm.
Guest performers on the evening will be
Accordionist Kara Bowman and flautist Gareth Murray while Kenny
Archer will compere the event.
The choir's first concert was held in 1957,
some two years after the formation of the choir.
There are around 30 singers in the choir
which performs at concerts and church services throughout the
country.
In April they are due to travel to Kelso in
the Scottish Borders where they arc to undertake a concert on
behalf of the British Leprosy Mission and take part in a Church
Service in Mussleburgh.
"We hope that this year's concert will
provide something for everyone - music and laughter can combine
to give the audience an evening's entertainment which they can
thoroughly enjoy," said a choir spokesman.
