THIS Saturday (August 18) is a date to remember if you don't
want to miss the biggest display of Ferguson implements ever
seen.
The venue is the Ferguson Homestead at Growell, Dromore where
the Harry Ferguson Celebration Committee, assisted by the
Midlands Group, Virginia, is staging their seventh annual event.
The committee have been showing Ferguson tractors of every shape
and form over the years and using the proceeds to finance the
Harry Ferguson Memorial Garden.
This year they are concentrating on Harry's many implements
which worked off the tractor.
The committee has worked very hard to find many, if not all, of
Harry's many wonderful inventions.
A spokesperson for the Celebration Committee, said: "This year's
show will be very educational as we intend to have as many
operating as possible on the day in order to let the public see
the extent of Harry's engineering skills, and not forgetting of
course the Grey Fergie Tractor which operated these many
implements.
"So come along to this spectacular event which includes live
music, food, pony and cart rides, bouncy castle, stalls and
trade stands and free parking.
"In addition to the show the committee would like to share with
you some very exciting news regarding the long awaited Memorial
Garden.
"This announcement will be made during the show, so don't miss
it," he added.
