PARKVIEW Special School pupils are enjoying a
new playtime routine, thanks to the installation of a new
musical playground.
The playground, which has numerous benefits
for the children through the stimulation of the music, was
brought about when the school were presented a cheque for 4,793
from HSBC. Each year the HSBC fundraising team choose projects
across the UK to donate funds to and this year Parkview was
chosen.
HSBC staff are encouraged to participate and
become involved in local projects which can benefit the
community especially educational or environmental projects.
The musical playground for Parkview was
selected because of the potential benefits to the children who
attend the school.
Jane Cowley, and Angell Jairath, two managers
of HSBC, visited Parkview last week to see the new musical
playground in action. Both said they were proud to work for a
company that actively encourages its staff to put something back
into the local community and felt privileged to witness the
children playing and enjoying their new playground.
