Lisburn veterans in first Dublin parade since
1922
LISBURN veterans recently attended the
inaugural parade of the Wild Geese Association, which unites all
ex-servicemen on the island of Ireland, in Collins Barracks in
Dublin.
The parade on Saturday April 14 was the first
time British ex-servicemen had paraded in the Barracks since
1922.
As well as marking this historic moment, the
Association also took the opportunity to dedicate their new
standard.
A host of dignitaries attended the event, including the Lord
Mayor of Dublin Vincent Jackson, Lord Inci Quin, Conor O'Brien,
Deputy Mayor of Clare Patrick McMahon and Deputy Mayor of
Kilkenny Sean O'Horgan.
