4th Lisburn Cub Scouts, who meet in Friends
School, have held their first investiture Ceremony with 15 Cubs
taking their Cub Law & Promise.
The Cubs are the first section to re-open at
Friends School for over 20 years. September will see the Scout
Section re-open.
For any information on either section please
contact David Hilland, the Group Scout Leader, via
www.lisburndistictscouts.org.uk.
The group are also looking to recruit Adult
Leaders and Helpers so they can start up Beaver and Squirrel
Sections in which there is a lot of interest. The next event the
Cubs are looking forward too is their first camp later this
month, at which they will get to use new tents jointly bought by
sponsorship from the School PTA and a recent sponsored walk
completed by the Cubs. The group _has said a big thank to the
Parent Teacher Association and all who supported the sponsored
walk.
