TEN more young singers are going head to head
this week in a live radio vote on Citybeat.
On Saturday the Citybeat Young Star Search,
sponsored by easyJet, visited Bow Street Mall for the latest
heat of the Northern Ireland wide talent search for kids.
Citybeat presenter Stuart Robinson, who
hosted the event, said the response had been brilliant.
"We've found some unbelievable talent in
Lisburn. We held a previous heat at the Mayor's Carnival back in
May and the standard was brilliant -so it was quite a surprise
to find so much more talent on Saturday". He said.
"We received a record number of entries from
Lisburn this year and the judges had a tough job short listing
the finalists but it s now up to the public to select the
overall winner of the heat."
Lisburn presenter Paul Orr helped judge the
event with international DJ Mikey Modelle.
Facing the public vote on Citybeat this week
are (junior category) Amy Collins,
Fiona May (11), Megan Graham (10), and Stephanie
Toms (10.
Finalists in the senior category were, Amanda
Mitchell (13), Emma Sweeney (13), Heather Vient (16),
Jordan Howe, Laura McCarthy.
The regional winners will secure a place in
the semi-finals in Victoria Square on the 19th July.
