LISBURN
City Council is bringing the Farmers Market and Craft Fair back
to to Castle Gardens.
It will be held this Saturday, December 20,
at Castle Gardens in the heart of Lisburn Historic Quarter from
10am to 4pm and follows the success of the first ever farmers
market there in October. There will be plenty of seasonal treats
for visitors and shoppers alike, with a range of local produce
and high quality crafts to entice potential shoppers wanting to
buy unique gifts.
Councillor Allan Ewart, Chairman of Lisburn
City Council's Economic Development Committee said: "Since the
first successful Farmers Market took place in Castle Gardens in
October we have continued to hear very positive comments.
Everyone is looking forward to the event on
Saturday where we will have food stalls, hand made and local
crafts, music, carol singing, craft workshops for the children
and Santa might even make an appearance, if he isn't too busy.
"We are also very pleased to have been able to secure some local
well-known musicians, who will be providing the entertainment
throughout the day. In the morning you will be able to hear
local singer songwriter Kyle John Suckling. Come along over
lunch time, grab a bite to eat and hear a local choir singing
some familiar festive songs. "Then, Mike Mormecha, frontman of
Mojo Fury, now performing as a solo artist, will be there in the
afternoon to keep the atmosphere going."
On street parking is available locally to
Castle Gardens or the Lisburn Historic Quarter Car Park is
adjacent to the gardens and is free and open from 9am until 5pm
every Saturday.
