DOWNSHIRE Primary School recently held its
second annual golf competition at Rockmount Golf Club recently.
The PTA would like to thank all of the
sponsors - every tee and green was sponsored by local businesses
and businesses connected to the school - and also those who
provided prizes and donations for the auction.
Approximately �3200 was raised on the day.
The golf was followed by delicious food in the clubhouse. There
were team 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, Individual 1st to 5th prizes
and also a Ladies Prize, longest drive, men and ladies nearest
the pin and two's competition.
There was also a Beat the Pro competition
-the pro was Debbie Hanna, professional at Blackwood Golf Course
and a parent at the school.
