 SANDRA
Corkin, managing director of Lisburn based Oasis Travel which is
already Northern Ireland Travel Agent of the Year, has beaten
off competition from across the UK to be named Proprietor of the
Year at the National Agent Achievement Awards, 2008.
Sponsored by TIPTO (Truly Independent
Professional Travel Organisation), this award recognises the
agent who has most successfully developed and implemented
initiatives with leading UK tour operators to increase business.
The awards, now in their 12th year, were held in London's Royal
Lancaster Hotel and Sandra was honoured in front of more than
500 guests from the travel industry.
She was quick to point out the award
reflected the efforts of all her company's staff.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to have been named
Proprietor of the Year at this prestigious event," said Sandra.
"I can't however take all the credit � we
work as a team at Oasis Travel and this award reflects the hard
work and dedication of all the Oasis staff.
As an independent travel agency, it's a
wonderful honour to be recognised in these awards by our
industry peers." The Agent Achievement Awards are widely
acclaimed as the leading travel agent awards and recognise
excellence within the industry. Sandra was one of three
finalists shortlisted who competed for the coveted title
throughout the UK.

Holywood and Bangor.
