Charity night raises money for RNIB and Marie Curie

THE recent charity country music night which was held in the Chestnut Lodge in Moira has been hailed as a 'great success' after the evening raised �1,727 in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and the RNIB.

The evening, which was organised in memory of Lisburn woman Margaret Graham, who passed away in October 2007, saw a host of well-known country stars turn out to raise funds for the charities in memory of fun-loving Margaret.

Organiser Denise Frazer commented, "It was a very good night, everybody seemed to enjoy it. Everyone was up dancing and there were a lot of positive comments from it.

"Quite a lot of Margaret's family were there, some of whom travelled from Cork, and a lot of her friends were there to support the night as well."

Denise continued, "I d like to thank everybody for helping us, especially Dennis and Stephanie from Chesters who were fabulous.

"They pulled out all the stops decorating the room and providing food. I'd also like to thank all of the artists and
